Night Of The Living Dead...

It was a Vintaged performance from Mateen, who was making history by becoming the team member to break the Duck & thus, began our opening ceremony, for the 1st catch, of 2008... He, Mateen, had witnessed a nibble on the rod. Then, he proceed, holding on to the rod, patiently for around 10mins before striking,....A 800g Kaci or Sweetlips gave him quite a struggle before it was landed safely....

A nearer view of Mateen's 800g Kaci....And not forgetting his remarkble performance in sea fishing...

I've just managed to break my duck with a small Ikan Mertimun which was released back safely.
Suddenly, my rod immediately had an another nibble when i've just rebait & cast it out. Still holding on to the rod, i waited for quite a while before whacking it. I could sense its decent size as the fish gave me quite a resistance. Being a careful angler, i reeled it in gently. It was a Ikan Gelam, the smaller cousins of the bigger Kbl or Siakap...

A nice view of the 600g of the Ikan Gelam...

There was a sudden strong pull and my rod was being bended doubled....I striked it, and was on tug of war mode with the fish....A 2nd Kaci was landed....& this time it was big...

A nearer view of the 1kg Kaci or Sweetlips...

Live bait means live action...My 76ft Opsray rod bend doubled & my Abu 6500 alarm, screaming in pain...Striked it and mananged to won the battle...A Yu Bodoh Shark was safely landed...

A 1.5kg Shark or Ikan Yu was landed after a brief fight...

Me & Mateen & a Shark....

Closeup view of the 1.5kg Sharky...

An early morning visitor...A juvenile 400g Mertimun chomp on to my live Ikan Bilis bait...

A closer view of the Mertimun...

Another early visitor.....The Todak.

Jacque posing with her catch.....The Todak really put-up a strong fight against our light tackles...
Me & Mateen & the Todak....It was released after picture taking....
All the other fishes were strictly released back safely for suvival.....Only the Ikan Bilis were brought back...

The Ikan Bilis will be used as bait with its hard body being the best factor...
