Surveying Johor's Reclaimed Land

Ive made a discovery of a reclaimed land in Johor...and..off we go...to surfcast there...

What flags are those..?

Jacq.

Me.

Kelvin, at long last, joined me in my surfcasting expeditions

Reeling in the line in an unique style..

The Three hours Fishing Session....

The deep end of the reclaimed land which faces the open South China sea...

The friendly Malaysian fishermans in action. Most of them are using lures to target the Ikan Siakap or Kim Bak Lor

This is the reclaimed spot that looks promising...

Iam using an old school of the Penn Squidder 140L drum.. Only an educated thumb can calm down the casting of this vintage drum...

Setting the drags...

Rigging the bait carefully..

The ultimate bait, a freshly caught tamban...

The cast...into the unknown..

A sudden bite caught me by surprised...

The deep part was about 80meters away..the currents were strong too...

My rod and the beautiful sunset...But no big takers yet...

The three big-game rods were in constant standby mode...

The moonlight shining ever so brightly...more pictures of this trip n my catch was taken by my kaki..still not collected by me yet..stay tuned...
